Petanque and Carpet Bowl Club

Our Petanque Terraine was opened in June 2014 and is of the English Petanque Association specification which includes flood lighting and has space for two lanes.

Petanque is a truly family game with all ages and sexes enjoying competition together and also by age and gender

We have two sessions from April to the end of October being Wednesday and Friday 10am until 12 with refreshments. If the weather is poor then Carpet Bowls are played indoors and take over from Petanque from November to the end of March.

Mini Carpet bowls takes over in inclement weather and from October until April and can also be played by all ages and sexes with the addition that it can easily be played by those less able and even from a wheelchair as illustrated in the picture.

We charge £2 for each 2 hour session which also pays for the refreshments. Though you are welcome to use the terraine at anytime when it is not booked.
